Buying A Piper Airplane
A Piper aircraft can be a great airplane to own. Sometimes the Cessna can overshadow the Piper aircraft and for some reason it does not get much air-time.
But as someone who has flown a ton of hours in a Piper Aircraft – more specifically, the Piper Cherokee. Though it is not a fast airplane, the Cherokee is a great airplane to fly!
The biggest reason is, it is nice to fly a low-wing airplane. Sure Cessna’s are great to fly because they are a high wing airplane, but a low-wing aircraft is nice as well. Also, all the piper airplanes have feet brakes verses the hand brake that the Cessna has.
Piper has a lot of really nice airplanes in their fleet! The Cherokee is a great airplane to start with as it is one of the smaller aircraft piper has, but as far as the best cost effective and fastest airplane --- the Piper Turbo Arrow is one of the best around.
It is a four seater and goes about 140kts. The funny thing with the Arrow is that it is only a 200 hp aircraft. Piper has done a great job with this airplane and it is defiantly a great airplane to fly as it can pass the Cessna 182 and is a lot less expensive to buy.
Whatever piper aircraft model you choose, you’re not going to be disappointed! They are a great airplane to own and fly. Also, they are very reliable and will insure you have years of excitement and pleasure in front of you.
